- Who makes the decision on what projects are supported?
The RJS Foundation board make the decisions on what requests are supported. Our Board is made up of people from within and outside RJS Solicitors who volunteer their time to support the work of the RJS Foundation.
- What is the minimum and maximum amounts you can apply for?
There is no minimum amount, but, due to the amount of funding available, our maximum grant per application is £500.00. This may be increased at the discretion of the Board if considered appropriate.
- Do you fund more than one-year projects?
Due to the amount of funding available we will only provide funding for one off grants. However, this may change in the future depending on the availability of grant funds.
- Do you fund organisations that are not charities?
Yes, but the RJS Foundation will only fund not-for-profit organisations.
- Do you fund running costs?
Due to the funds available we will only fund running costs if they are part of a project application.
- Do you fund salaries?
No.
- How often can I apply for a grant?
Successful applicants to the RJS Foundation should wait at least a further 12 months before submitting a new application.
Unsuccessful applicants can reapply anytime.
- Why do I need a RJS Solicitors Staff reference on my application?
We want to see how the RJS Foundation is supporting the interests of our people at RJS Solicitors. To help us do this, we ask you to let us know if you know anyone who works for RJS Solicitors.
It is not essential for your application to have a staff reference and you can apply without knowing anyone at RJS Solicitors.
- Do you have an appeals process?
We do not have an appeals process and the Board’s decision is final.
- Can I get feedback if my application is refused?
Unfortunately not, but unsuccessful applicants can reapply at anytime.
